Beauty treatment

My lovely bike is now in the hands of a very capable person that will pamper and beautify her to a state of shininess I would never achieve! Don't get me wrong, I am all in favour of cleanliness, but washing a bike just isn't for me. Some how I always end up hurting myself and damaging every finger is not something I can afford! The fact is, to do it right, it is necessary to take everything apart and I am not up to the job. Fortunately Stan is and he will, for a very small amount of money, bring her back from the several months and many miles of dirty. Yes, last time I gave her a shower was on the eve of going to the Le Mans GP, 16th of May...More then 2 month ago! I promise a picture! His work is truly stunning.
And its less then a month for our trip to Belgium and Germany, that will include a training course at the NurburgRing. More on that latter. For now, the preparations will start with a diner with the participants to organize details of which roads to travel on and what to go and visit. Always a good reason to meet up and have some nice food.

The very first time!

Well, that is it, Blog virgin no more!!
Why did I decide to have a blog? Maybe because, like everyone else that starts a blog, I have a great need to communicate. Maybe because life is not great at the moment and it helps to talk about other things or THE things that upset us and we feel better.
In any case, my first blog post is about Life. "Boring" I ear you say! Well, yes, its true, from Shakespeare to Joe Blog, everyone asks the same question, what am I doing here? At 35 years of age, I think I now, for me, what it is, enjoy it while it last knowing it will last just 24 hours. Its so much easier! No worries with pensions or bleak scenarios of recession. Today is the day and only today should count. In fact this is how Nature operates, everything follows its course based on the immediate needs of survival: find food, shelter and procreate!! Translate that into humans and as long as we have the basics, a place to sleep, something to eat, and someone to love, the rest is all superfluous.
Not always possible to follow this philosophy, too much stuff around telling us its money that counts, its only money, and things you buy with it, that WILL make you happy! Wrong, its not money, but things like friendship, reassurance and amazement that fill us with joy and happiness.
Life is about experiencing as much as we can, all in the same 24 hours.
Next time, Bikes!!
